German Presents, Jewish Pasts

The Politics of Ancient Judaism in 19th-Century Germania

As part of a Mellon-funded project, CRASSH will be hosting a two-week Summer School in July on critical issues in the history of the modern university, which will engage questions of secularism and religion.

Paul will be workshopping  some of his latest research on the historiography of ancient Judaism by Protestant historians in the 19th century. His paper's title is "How German classicists wrote the Jews out of ancient history."

For more information, see an overview of the Summer School and stay updated with the regular blog posts.

This project is generously financed through the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie grant agreement No. 749628.
